Shackleton: Open to Adventure

Inspiring the new generation of adventurers!
Over 100 years ago, the now infamous explorer Ernest Shackleton rescued his entire crew in what has now become know as one of the most daring rescue missions of all time. He took with him crates of whisky which were left behind in Antarctica. Over 100 years later they were found buried under the ice and reimagined in a new modern-day whisky.
In a truly adventurous spirit, we went back to where Shackleton himself trained for his expeditions. Finse, Norway. We had one mission. To collect a year's worth of content for the brand. On the mission were ex Royal Marine Commandos, explorers, influencers and of course the production crew. Everything was shot from the hip with no rehearsal or recce.
Over the course of five days, we shot a brand film, influencer content and product photography. We used this across paid social, display, NY Times takeovers, pre-roll, National Geographic Sponsorship, OOH and special builds as well as the new Shackleton Website. It was epic.
